Emilex Systems, LLC — PS² Range Coach

Emilex Systems, LLC ("Emilex," "we," "us") makes PS² Range Coach, an iPhone and Apple Watch app for practical shooting training. This policy explains what information the app and this website collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Short version: we collect training data, not personal identity. The app does not collect your name, email, or location. Completed training sessions are sent to Emilex under an anonymous ID so we can improve the app's accuracy. Sharing this data is a condition of using PS² Range Coach. We do not sell data, show ads, or use advertising trackers.

1. Information stored on your devices

The app keeps your training records on your iPhone and Apple Watch, including:

• Sessions, drills, scores, shot times, and training history
• Target photos you capture for scoring
• Motion data from your Apple Watch (MotionTrace) and your iPhone's tilt
• Firearm, optic, and ammunition details you choose to enter
• Short audio recordings made during each string, used to develop on-device shot detection

iCloud sync. If you are signed in to iCloud, your training records sync between your own Apple devices through Apple's iCloud. That data is stored in your private iCloud account under Apple's privacy terms. Emilex cannot access it.

2. Information sent to Emilex

When you complete a session, the app automatically uploads a session package to Emilex. Uploads use Wi-Fi only unless you turn on cellular uploads. A package contains:

• Session and drill results: scores, hit positions, shot times, and splits
• The scored target photo for each string
• Apple Watch motion data recorded during the session
• Firearm and ammunition details entered for the session
• Technical information: app version, iPhone model, iOS version, and camera capabilities
• An anonymous ID created by the app (for example, usr_7F4A91C2)

The package does not contain your name, email address, Apple ID, phone number, contacts, or location. The audio recordings described in section 1 are not uploaded.

The anonymous ID lets us group sessions from the same installation. It is not linked to your Apple ID or any other account. You can find it in the app under More → Profile → Data ID.

Why we collect it. We use session packages to measure and improve how accurately the app finds and scores hits, times shots, and reads motion, including training machine-learning models that improve the app for all users. We also use them to find and fix bugs.

Data sharing is required. Uploading session data is part of how PS² Range Coach works, and it cannot be turned off. By using the app, you agree to this collection. If you do not want your training data collected, please do not use the app.

3. Features that stay on your device

• Camera. Used to photograph and register targets. Photos are stored on your device and uploaded only as described in section 2.
• Voice Start. Spoken commands such as "Ready to shoot" are recognized on your iPhone. Voice audio is never saved or sent anywhere.
• Bluetooth. Used to connect to a supported shot timer (Shooters Global SG Timer) to bring shot times into your session.
• Apple Watch workouts (HealthKit). The watch starts a workout session only to keep MotionTrace connected while its screen is off. The app does not read your health data and does not save anything to Apple Health.
• Motion. The iPhone's tilt sensor checks whether the camera has moved since you registered the target.
• Calendar. Only if you choose to, the app adds scheduled training sessions to your calendar. It does not read your existing events.

The app does not use location services, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics or advertising tools.

4. Information you send us directly

If you request beta access or contact us by email, we receive what you include, such as your name, email address, device models, shooting experience, screenshots, and app details for bug reports. We use it to respond, manage the beta, and support you. We do not add you to marketing lists without your permission.

5. This website

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers in the website code. The website loads fonts from Google Fonts; your browser sends requests to Google to retrieve those fonts. Our hosting providers may process standard server logs, such as IP addresses and pages requested, for security and reliability.

6. Service providers

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of providers to run the service:

• Cloudflare stores uploaded session packages and runs the upload service.
• Apple provides iCloud sync, TestFlight beta distribution, and app delivery.

These providers handle data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments. We may disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy would continue to apply to data collected under it.

7. Data retention

Data on your devices stays until you delete it or delete the app. Uploaded session packages are kept for up to one year, or until you ask us to delete them.

8. Your choices and rights

• Delete local data. Delete sessions in the app, or delete the app. To remove iCloud copies, use your device's iCloud settings.
• Turn off permissions. You can turn off camera, microphone, Bluetooth, motion, or calendar access in iPhone Settings at any time. Some features will stop working.
• Delete uploaded data. Email us with your Data ID (More → Profile) and we will delete the session packages tied to it. Because data sharing is a condition of using the app, a deletion request also ends your use of PS² Range Coach, including beta access.
• Access requests. You can ask what uploaded data we hold about your installation.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. We will honor valid requests regardless of your location.

9. Security

Uploads are encrypted in transit. The app never stores storage credentials; it requests a short-lived upload link for each package. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to uploaded data to the people who need it to develop the product.

10. Age

PS² Range Coach is intended for adults (18 and older) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We will post updates on this page and change the effective date. If we make a significant change to how app data is collected or shared, we will notify users in the app or by email before it takes effect.
